  • On this plane, the seat layout is 3 seats - aisle - 3 seats - aisle - 3 seats.
  • I ask the flight attendant if it's possible to move my middle seat to one that is the window or an aisle, but clearly state that it's fine if it's not possible.

  • She gets me an aisle seat and I am jazzed. Next to me, woman and man (looks like a couple), doing the same.
  • Woman: are there any rows of 3 with an empty middle seat? Flight attendant: I'm sorry, I can't guarantee any seats will remain empty.

  • PsyPup My wife and I spend a little extra for an extra seat, it's normally cheaper than a full seat, because we both have bad reactions to being seated next to strangers do to being neurodivergent. If they want the extra seat, pay for it.
  • Prestigious_Chip7599 Wow, some people really think the universe owes them extra space! Glad the middle seat worked out for you, though sometimes luck just sides with the patient.
  • Reasonable_Piglet370 We will sometimes book a aisle and window seat in the hopes the middle seat isn't filled but if it is, then that's fine. We're both happy either way because we both hate the middle seat.

  • CoonnieDreams Her husband looks genuinely mortified to be standing next to her, probably because she's trying to cheat the system in front of everyone.
  • LoftyDreams7473 That couple should buy the extra seat in the middle if extra space is that important to them.
